There are at least three other buildings in the famed Horseshoe alone that are either named after people who were well-known slave holders with white supremacist views or that actually housed salves. That's right, not only was salve labor used in the construction of the school, the slaves were actually housed on campus.

Thomas Jefferson was a slave owner. His name is on everything up there....better change them now.
We need to check those Ivy League schools out too....all those old buildings from the 1700's...some of those guys were probably real ogres.

Oh yeah. And Governor John Drayton ,who founded South Carolina College in 1801, his family owned Magnolia Plantation near Charleston. And yes, it was built by African slaves
