Mar 24, 2020, 9:52 AM

Those fees from licenses protect our wildlife and serve a major purpose for the state game management program. You'll thank me when the zombie apocalypse happens and you've got fish and deer to eat instead of dog food manufactured in China.

It sounds like now would be a great time to buy one then. You can do it online. If you don't want to buy a license, then don't go fishing.

They just mail it to you after?

Yes they mail it to you afterward but you can fish immediately. Take a screen shot of the printable license and keep it on your phone or print the temporary paper copy.

Yep, getting a license is the first step and they are cheap. Sounds like you may be also.

Considering I cannot go to work because my wife was tested for covid and has not got results back yet I certainly am cheap.

No licence needed on private ponds. Permission of landowner is needed though. Good way to get some fresh air , and if lucky, dinner.
