I thought I was all ready for the eclipse

Until the time came. I brought my entire family up from Florida to see the eclipse cross North Carolina. We rented an RV and camped out for a couple of days prior to the event. We were all wearing these T-shirts posted below because we were so hype. Whale it turns out we were hugely disappointed in the eclipse. It didn't even cover the whole sun. Why was everyone so excited about it? pretty lame if you ask me. It didn't even get that dark

Not sure why you went to North Carolina when it was not on the path of totality. In Clemson (Lake Hartwell), which was on the path of totality it was amazing. We experienced everything...the corona, diamond ring, full black out, crescents from the trees, crickets chirping, 360 degree sunset, etc. With clear skies, it lived up to expectations and more.

Was worth it. Zero clouds at all in Idaho, the elevation helped as well
