Heavy Formation

I haven't seen any comments on this. I've seen the so-called heavy formation twice. Once, one of the big defensive guys now on offence was called for a false start, and we kicked the field goal. This time, at A&M's half yard line, KB and the center did not connect. I hope I don't see this formation again! Who knows what would have happened had we punched it in there?

You know that the offensive players can be to heavy.
They can't reach the line before being tackled.

Can they loose weight before the GSU game?

Kind of goes to the minset of are we the 85 bears or can we not get a yard.
I do not like it plus it has been run for a trick play and leaves nothing to block on the outside if a d end like Ferrell shot shot down hard (too jumbled)

Has it ever worked? All I remember is illegal procedure and fumble snap***

It worked once at Auburn.***

I think it would work every time if it was executed properly

We should work on it more in practice or just forget about it.

Our execution of the play has been horrendous the past few times we’ve tried it.

We had scored with it a couple of times early. Once a run by Gallman and then later on a pass to Wilkins.

Since then we’ve mucked it up repeatedly.

Yep, executed properly or stop running it. BUT I like it

It worked the first few times we used it in 2016. The last example I can remember of it working was on 4th and 1 in overtime against NC State in 2016. Then that same season it didn't work on 4th and 1 against Pitt on our last offensive drive.

I thought we used it against Troy also.***

Dabo likes the play. Dabo designed the play. He is the HC. He is smarter than all TNet fans on matters of the pigskin. It comes down to sometimes the players don't execute. How dare anyone on this site dare question the quality of the call. Do we understand each other? Now that is how TNet typically handles anyone or any topic that calls Dabo's coaching strategies and tactics into question. And go Tigers!
