Heard a stat on Off Campus w/ Mark Packer

Yesterday when he was interviewing Dabo. Clemson has had 0 holding calls against us all year. That is unbelievable. The TA&M game was really bad, but to not have one called in 6 games against our DL is absurd. Apparently Dabo asked an official in one game, and the official said your guys are too fast for holding calls. I mean this is probably true for the DEs but can Dex and Wilkins buy one!?!?

This is a pretty bizarre stat! Just doesn’t seem possible that after six games - guessing that would be almost 400 offensive plays against our defense - and there was ONLY ONE hold?!

Combined with their use of quick hitters in the passing game, NCSU is going to benefit if the refs don’t keep their OL and other pass blockers honest.

As he has brought this up before, I’m certain HCDS has mentioned to conference officials. It usually has an effect, and hopefully we’ll see some holding calls Saturday... you KNOW they’re going to be holding our guys.
