which says the Natty Champs were a tough nut to beat and Nobody did.
Saying, no reason to be down when those Boys were very, very good and 1st team (probably) to beat 8 top 10 teams.

No doubt, it does matter. Got to be the right fit. So many teams imo just chase stars and not necessarily needs. Uga to be specific.
16 and they still probably wouldn't have been in the cfp without burrow and the offensive coordinator.
Also lets me know just how special our 18 team was. We would have beaten lswho with the 18 team...

Only 12 of the 16 invitees were regular Off/Def starters. Three started occasionally and one is the deep snapper.

Let’s remember they were a veteran team with many juniors entering the draft early. Clemson has 7 invites but many starters are just now entering their 3rd year. Plus ET came back.

Very true. We were beat up too. Obviously pinc out hurt. With the critical busts we had in 17 and 18 class, it's really special that we were able to even be there.
I stand by my opinion that the oh4o win is our best coaching and team wins ever.

Oeaux recognized the need for a more open Off. Hired a OC for '17, took away his responsibilities mid-season, gave him millions to go away. In '18 wasn't getting desired results, "only" 10 Wins w/ SEC schedule, went to Spread for 1/1/19 bowl game and lit it up. Then came the PGC Brady.
Key is coach O who will see a problem and find a way to overcome.
Now he is interviewing PGCs, has over 100 applicants and has interviewed at least 3 who are PGC in NFL.
LSU suffered under Les Miles who was unable to change but kept winning just enuf to keep his job. He insisted on power football in a state that produces great talent but not great OL, beating his head against a wall. Those days are over.

LSU had 70 freshmen and sophomores, 34 juniors and 13 seniors.
