So my buddy who is a member of this site told me there were some posts made on here regarding my purchase of a defective pen. Pretty cool guy selling me a piece of crap pen, complaining when I point out it's defective, then posting crap about me on a anonymous message board. Anyway, if I buy a $50 pen, as a matter of principle, I expect it to work. Guess that's just too high of an expectation these day.

First of all, love the pen, fine woodwork and it's awesome to have a piece of that tree my dad and I sat under. As you probably know, the tree was over the old handicap section, my dad is a paralyzed from the waist down so we always sat under that tree. I saw the pen at the event the other night and just had to get it for him. Anyway, $50 bucks is the deal of the century to me. However, it would be nice if the pen would write. I think the ink is dry or something. Probably want to figure out what's going on with that. I've never had such a nice pen so not sure if it matters what type of ink goes with what or if it matters. Thanks for any help you can provide. In a bit of a rush before I sent it to my dad for his 85th birthday.

Sorry for your dissatisfaction. Dad sources those refills from an orphanage in Six Mile that sells them to keep saltines and beef broth on the table. Your particular refill came from a 6 year old with Leukemia and EEOA (Extremely Early Onset Alzheimers). She probably just forgot to put ink in it. I'll let the orphanage know of your dissatisfaction....the headmistress will probably let her off with 4-5 lashings.
