I am sure that the Dabo-haters will find some way to attribute Lane's desire to stay at Clemson to be totally unrelated to Dabo, but I have to believe he has something to do with it. I think if we give him some time, he will be a very good coach for Clemson. And if he is not, after a reasonable time, then we find someone else. But he has not had enough time yet.

It is definitely 100% Dabo. Everyone knows he is a tremendous recruiter, just a poor head coach.
Fire Napier, bring in someone who can maximize talent on offense, and he will go from being a poor coach to a good one.

Me too.
It's obvious he relates to players and sells the family atmosphere at Clemson. However, he really needs a solid OC IMO to get after the players at practice and game plan (effectively) on Saturdays.
Otherwise, he won't last long...

Why wouldn't he? Is there something that would keep him from coming? The 2010 season was just a missed field goal away from a national championship and next year we're going to be even better with all the freshmen that are coming in to change things up!!

When I walked out the stadium at Auburn I told my friend (Auburn) alumnus that they would have a great season and ours would go down hill quickly. Most posters on this site do not really understand how one game can make or break a season. Two big 'ifs', but if our Tigers beat Auburn, and believe me we would have with a 'made' FG and if Ellington stays healthy, BCS would have been in play for sure. I get sick with all the anti-Dabo crap on this board and wonder how many posters were at the Auburn game and realize how close this 2010 team was to greatness. Football folks understand that is the way the sport of football works especially at the college level.

After the Auburn visit he AGAIN confirmed his commitment to Clemson. In fact, this season, disappointing as it was, has not cost us a single recruit.

i think it's tremendous.. sure, there's always going to be people calling for a new coach/coordinator/AD or what have you, but i think the attitude around here (Clemson) is changing and Dabo is leading the way. just imagine if a couple of those close loses this year were wins... and we're sitting pretty with the #5 recruiting class despite those loses?! the next couple years are going to be a lot of fun. GO TIGERS
