should the 13 draft go like this year and that ranking hold that would be late second or early third round.

Lattimore at #1?

Apr 30, 2012, 1:05 PM

If healthy, I totally agree but coming off ACL injury, I think its way too early to predict he's the top RB.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed. He's a beast, but everyone's so quick to jump

Apr 30, 2012, 2:24 PM

to conclusions. Let's see if he gets shutdown in DV this year. Go Tigers!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

one concern with Lattimore should be his speed, as….

Apr 30, 2012, 8:45 PM [ in reply to Lattimore at #1? ]

fundamentally sound as he is, he doesn't have that many big play runs.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

AE will be rated higher than that come next April

Apr 30, 2012, 1:11 PM

nm

If he stays healthy.

Apr 30, 2012, 1:18 PM

His tendency for injuries puts him at no. 5.

and his size***

Knile Davis is missing from this list..the guy is a monster

I wondered about that too. I guess they were hesitant to put him up that high after missing a full year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The list is pretty accurate I think

Apr 30, 2012, 2:06 PM

Lattimore when healthy is a beast and the closest to the prototypical NFL back in the next draft. And Knile Davis is missing off it. I think he's either 2 or 3. Guy is a huge talent. AE will rise if he stays healthy

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Eddie Lacy, Fitz Toussaint, and John White

Apr 30, 2012, 2:45 PM

should all be on this list. I don't know how strong nfl careers they will have but they will all be beast in the college game next season

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lattimore may lack the speed to be a prototypical nfl back..

Apr 30, 2012, 8:47 PM [ in reply to The list is pretty accurate I think ]

he doesn't have that many big run plays. All of his big yardage games have came when has carried the ball 30 to 42 times.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He can pass protect and catch the ball out of the backfield

Apr 30, 2012, 8:51 PM

too, so he's a 3-down back.

I guess it's going to depend on the philosophy of the team.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

agreed, but he seems to lack speed…..

Apr 30, 2012, 8:58 PM

he does everything perfect as a running back, except getting big runs. And at the college level as fundamentally sound as he is, he should be getting more big play runs.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: agreed, but he seems to lack speed…..

Apr 30, 2012, 10:50 PM

Definitely lacks a step at the top end. Lots of plays where it looks like he is gonna bust a big one and the last defender gets a hand on him before he can get to open space. He will still be productive at next level but if he was a step faster he would be mentioned as an adrian peterson kind of cant miss back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

( just a guess)- If hes the 5th best back in....

Apr 30, 2012, 8:59 PM

the nation.
Roughly, does that mean hes about a 3rd rd draft pick?

If so, that sounds about right to me.

I'm afraid his age(24 at next years draft) will hurt his stock as well.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I just hope Andre has a terrific, injury-free season and

Apr 30, 2012, 9:14 PM

that where ever he's drafted next spring, he makes a ton of money, has great NFL career and sets him and his family up for life.
