I weren't no English major, but shouldn't it be "wallowing in self pity"?

Here is hoping he doesn't pick the Coots , a place where ALL prospective quarterback recruits go to disappear from the limelight . DJ , do what you need to do but beware the QB swallowing black hole of Williams-Brice in Columbia , SC .

He'll make a mistake if he goes to USCjr. He would be better off at VT or NCST.

Well, I hate that he thinks he's got no better chances than usuc, but I hope he finds what makes him happy. He sounds like a solid young man, and I wish him good luck in his quest to live his dream.

The Clemson coaches told him they would give him

an opportunity to play QB. I don't know what the young man wanted other than a signed contract saying he would play QB no matter what at Clemson University. I think the coaches saying he would get an opportunity that if that is what you wanted you wouldn't have played around and committed. Players change position all the time and it seemed like DJ was unwilling to give that option a real chance and thats unfortunate. If you are as good at QB as you think you are and the coaches are willing to give you a chance then it is on you to earn that job but too me it seems he isn't into fighting for a job and trust me I know on paper it looks like it is going to be a big time competition but if you are good as you think then come and fight for that position. I think its a compliment that the coaches think you can play a number of positions to go along with playing QB. I wish nothing but the best for this kid but if his motivation is showing Clemson up then he already has the wrong mindset. If he goes to a place just because he can play Clemson then I will remind him he won't be on the field against Clemson's QB but Clemson's defense and unfortunately for him Clemson's defense will be stacked for years to come....

Lets be realistic here. No matter how good he is and how

confident he is in his own ability to play QB, he would still be competing with two 5* and several 4* QBs at Clemson. Even if he turns out to be really good, he could still lose that starting QB battle. I hate it, but it makes all the sense in the world for him to go somewhere that he's going to be the #1 guy, the prized recruit, the one that is given every opportunity to succeed.

The guys who aren't ready to compete every single day for their job should not consider Clemson or other elites. I wish him well, but earning it every day is the standard at Clemson now. That always wasn't the case, and we were not a very good FB team in those days, but it's a new day, and we're all the better for it.

Is there something I missed? Where did he say he was going to show Clemson up? As far as I can see, he just saw a situation where he doesn't believe he'll get an opportunity to play QB, and at this time he wants to play QB so he's going to explore his options.

It doesn't specifically state that, but the assumption is certainly there just as Lamar shredded FSU for chosen Francois over him. QB or bust for him DJ. It adds an extra element for the opposing team, whoever that turns out to be. Not saying we need to worry, just expect it.

But he might have a chip on his shoulder when we meet him in the ACC Championship game.
