Would Dabo step down to be an AD??

May 29, 2018, 4:03 PM

With all the news about Ray Tanner over the past 24 hours, it made me realize how dumb it was for him to step down to be an AD...

Running a national program with 2 national championships under his belt and leaves the program to Chad Holbrook. My question is why in the world would he do that? After bringing a program to an elite level and to be a national champion, Ray Tanner just walked away from it!

What would happen if Dabo did this?? Or say Jack Leggett in his prime?

Like Spurrier, he could see the mediocrity coming.

Dabo has a brilliant mind and was successful in business when he was out of coaching. He'd make a great AD.

The only job I see him taking besides coaching Clemson would be AD at BAMA one day after his kids are grown.

Why are you asking a question like that? I have heard no mention of Dabo taking any other job than the one he has now.
But I think if you offered Muschump any AD job he would jump through a hoop to get there. Same for Kirby Smart at Georgia. Let them offer him the Bama coaching or AD job and he is gone like the wind.

I actually think Dabo would be a great AD. He is a cheerleaders for all the sports and could raise money like crazy. I really could see him in an AD role when he is done coaching.

I could see that happening down the road!

I think Dabo would make a great AD here at Clemson!
