I'm only guessing here, but with all the high reviews he had in practice, and even being ahead of Johnson on the depth chart for awhile, I can only figure it being nerves with him.

If he wants to get into games, the only chance he has is for Bryant, Johnson, Lawrence, and possibly even Brice to have injuries which prevent them from playing.
Cooper is obviously talented, and seems like a great kid, but he isn't going to sniff the field at Clemson again as our QB.

The State writer left out the part where he told the reporter he would be at Clemson next season. This report was written off of a videoed interview that TCI point blankly asked him if he would be at Clemson next season.He said yes.
Look,he may leave tomorrow, he may be told he's 3rd,4th,5th on the depth chart and decide to leave,but this reporter's trying to give the Coots hope. When in reality,if Clemson's 4th best QB decides to leave, we'll wish him luck and use the schollie on another OL.

Someone is going to Transfer. I wish the best for any of them that do. They knew we were stacked at the position, but would rather compete to get the job here, rather than get the starting job much easier at another school. I admire them for that and our coaches for building a culture where great players want to come to compete

Some of these guys need to transfer. You don’t need six scholarship qbs. It’s a waste of spots for other positions.
