Has the timing of the run down the hill changed?

Seems like there used to be a shorter wait from the players appearing to the canon. Because of that we seem to lose some cheering and move to more clapping (in rhythm) before the cannon fires.

Our Athletic Dept needs to contact sufficient security to protect our traditions.
Put a bunch a GOON security guys at the bottom of the hill to keep outsiders away. Forget relying on game officials.
Problem solved.

If it wasn't for the refs standing at the bottom Syracuse would have ran to the front of the goal post, there should have been a flag or two

Near as I can tell, the timing is the same. Once Swinney appears, the band starts Sock it to em and Orange Bowl march. Then they roll straight into Tiger Rag (Cannon fired as Tiger Rag starts). It's been the same since before I was in the band (started in '03).
I think it just seems longer because we can watch the buses on TV now, whereas we used to just be surprised when they showed up.

I've noticed that we are recording almost every run down the hill now. Some players wear cameras. So maybe that's the reason.
