Hard for us to know what Coach Howard did to get IPTAY going

..from driving all over the state in the hot summer in an old car..begging every farmer or banker or citizen to give part of that $10 to his Boys..mowing the fields..clipping the hedges in DV..marking the fields..coaching couple of other teams in the early days..promoting Clemson whenever he got a chance..recruiting good ole farm Boys..winning Bowls over big name teams..pushing for Big Thursday game to end so we could get the Coots here on the Clemson campus after having to play them 63 straight years in Willie B.

What a guy..member of the famous Bama Red Tide who played in the Rose Bowl..seconded his own nomination as HC..kidded with the Bear & Pea Head Walker..got Clemson in Sugar Bowl vs #1 LSU and almost beat them!

RIP Coach Frank Howard! And, GoTiGERs!
