People calling Spurrier a drunk is ridiculous. You don't know that, and the guy has been a great coach up until the last two years. I for one am glad to see us tske back control of this series but sad to see our fan base stoop to coot level.

Uhh... He did show up drunk to his show - a duty of his job per his contract. I couldn't get away with that. And when asked about it, he admitted to drinking after all his games.

He taped a show which was part of his contract in which he was obviously inebriated and admitted indeed he was. Most of us normal folks would be fired from our jobs if we did the same.

He is a drinker , has been filmed and photographed multiple times holding and/or partaking of beers .
He owns a winery .
As others have mentioned , he showed up to tape one of his Coot tv shows at about three sheets to the wind .
Dude , this isn't a Sasquatch episode ...this guy is a bonafide beer jockey .

I'll never know why some folks call this man a great coach. He was simply a good coach and you can stick a fork in him because he is done now. I kinda wish he would stick around so Dabo can catch and pass him in the series wins. In reality I don't think he will make the year. With that being said it will not surprise me if Charlie Strong is the next "chicken" coach. Keep on losing "shamecocks", things are back to normal again.

UT has to give Strong a few more years. He'll have them competitive, at least on the defensive side, in a year.
My guess is that Spurrier pulls a Dean Smith and quits next August so that they have to name Jr. as the head coach.
