My Mom's retirement home has gone on full lock down

nobody in or out. Up until now this Virus thing has only made my life easier, but this is a bridge too far. Friday nights are when we stay up all night playing scrabble and I give her a foot rub and a bath. I know I am mad about this, I can only imagine how she feels.

This thing is getting worse and effecting people in so many ways. I know what my eight year old is thinking and it is nerve racking for him.
Praying someone finds a cure or vaccine.

Your mom t-mailed some of us weeks ago asking how to get you to stop coming there and drinking all her liquor and stealing her meds. We gave her the idea to put the home on lock down. Problem solved.

I havent seen my father who is in a nursing home since Trump suggested the restrictions (early March).
It is really hard because he is non verbal and we can not talk on the phone to see how he is doing. He has a very hard time communicating his needs to the nursing staff and depends on his wife (my mother) for many of his needs. She is not allowed in either.
Lots of people are suffering. I pray one of the nurses do not bring COVID into the facility before we can see him again.

Fyi once trump suggested the restrictions almost all the nursing homes and assisted living locked down.
We can even bring him his clothes due to the virus. All he has is what we left right before we got locked out.
