Let's go back and see who would take 6-1 before the season

Oct 14, 2017, 7:47 AM

Seriously people, it is one loss. We were playing on a short week, with a hobbled QB, on a Friday, over 800 miles away from home. Syracuse threw the kitchen sink at us and we were too slow to react. But I am absolutely happy to be 6-1 at this point of the season with everything still in front of us. This team might finally stop focusing on the end goal and actually take it one game at a time.

So step back from that ledge, my friend. The bye week will provide some much needed rest and reflection time. I fully expect this team to come out with their butts on fire against GT.

Completely agree...

Last night had the makings of the “perfect storm.” Short week, hobbled QB and we have just grinded out a tough Sept schedule.

Before season started I saw a ton of posts on here saying we’d drop 1 or 2 in Sept. Heck I thought we be 10-2 at best his year.

That loss last night actually looks better than losing at home to Pitt last season. The CFP will look at the situation of that game. Assuming we win out, we will still be in CFP.

And if we don’t win out and drop another ending up at 10-2, is that so bad? This team is young and had to replace lots of weapons.

And Trevor Lawrence walks in the door next year....

Lots to look forward to if you are a Tiger.

Best is standard... act and perform like that.

Win with class, lose with class.

Not "expecting to lose", just putting it into perspective.

have too many bandwagon fans on board.

We have to move on and get it back on track. We still have a chance for playoffs, but, like last year after the loss to Pitt, we have no room for errors.

Also, no more distraction. During the past week, it was as if we didn't have a football game to play. It was all about the student sections the whole week. I personally hate distractions. They can come in any forms, uniform change, chrome helmet and, last week, it was the student sections.

I hope the coaches figure out the QB situation in two weeks. Go Tigers!

I think the players, coaches and fans all needed a reality check. Syracuse delivered it.
