Let's fight for Greg Wallace

I just sent this note to every editor at the Anderson Independent Mail:
For those of us who depend on Greg Wallace to keep us up to date, play
by play, and be an unbiased, accurate reporter of Clemson athletics, I
would like to say you have made a colossal error in your decision to
"eliminate" his position. His contributions are incredibly important to
those of us who follow him on Twitter and Orange and White.
There is no restructuring that can explain your decision, no cutbacks,
no budget realignments, no reassignments, no replacements.
He was the voice of Clemson without the microphone and should have made
you proud enough to appreciate what he did for you and your media
outlets. There is no way you paid him enough to do what he did, so why
can you sweep him under the rug like some used up, crumpled old
newspaper? He made your media outlet come to life, and it won't be the
same without him.

Anderson Independent Mail had been eliminated. He has known for a while but made it official today when people were wondering why he wasn't covering bowl practice in the ATL.

Why is this surprising. The newspaper industry is dying. They are not needed as the web pretty much covers everything you need to know. We have business specifically set up to cover each school. TI, Cutigers, and on and on
He isn't going to be the last. He just needs to evolve and start working for one of the internet sites. I am sure he is a great reporter.
