I guess I've got to realize we aren't going to rise much in the polls this year. VT seem to be the new darlings of college football. I never thought the loss to Georgia would hurt so much. I guess I'm just whinning.

Even though it was a close game for the first 80% of it, the final score makes it look like Georgia killed a vastly inferior team.

Silly, it was SC st can't expect much even after blow out
Those games get you every time. Barely win and the home team sucks. Blow them out and you should have. No win situation

Games against teams like SC State, Furman, The Citadel, Wofford, and Georgia State does not help Clemson get better in my view. Part of true improvement is playing better OOC opponents more often.

I agree that GA and SC are good opponents, and it is true that all other teams schedule the smaller programs. It's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you want the home games, but on the other hand the team gets little benefit from playing an opponent that does not push them at all.
