Group Of 5 Playoff(G5P)???

Since the P5 has The CFP and crowns a national champion.

Since FCS has the same thing.

How do you all think a playoff for G5 teams would be taken? G5 teams have no shot at FCS or FBS titles! If you argue it would be the old: "every kid gets a trophy thing" then why not do away with division III and FCS too? Make one championship. But we don't b/c we realize some schools have advantages others don't!

I think it would go over well. What do you all think?

Most lower Divisions have a format similar to the FCS***

Div 1AA and 1A used to be.

Let them have their own playoff. G5 champs would be their title.

Completely Solid Orange® Thank you! I swear - just trying to get a feel for if there would be animosity toward a G5 playoff. Everybody is in a OL state of mind this evening, LOL!
But yeah, seems only right if they essentially can't win the big one! You would have U5C trying to join the Sun Belt all of a sudden, LOL! Only problem would be App State and South Dakota State would probably beat them still! Troy! Boise St! UCF!

Fresno St. - Boise St.

**wait 3 mountain west teams. Can't have that! You would have to put Cincinatti in. No, Cincy lost to UCF during the AAC championship game. Be crazy gravy to see G5P teams make all the same arguments FBS teams make!
