Shrewd on his part, get it on record and it is a talking point for 2 years. Wonder how many will put their name to it in an offical vote?

up for a vote. Purely political. Make it go on record and the dems have to either put up or shut up.
But why block the vote for the Mueller Report? It passed unanimously in the house. The President is for it's release.
No collusion. No Obstruction. Complete exoneration (even though that isn't true).
So why block the Mueller report?

But are you saying that AOC and company made a pointless bill, that they DIDN'T want to go to vote?
What was the point of making it? Certainly, it wasn't just a complete waste of print on her part, and only for show, right?

in a perfect world you have all of this if you really want to completely get rid of climate change. Which by the way none of that will happen. But one of those, ask for the kitchen sink and try to end up with some silverware.

which is why I don't get why AOC introduced it as a bill. I'll chock it up to lack of experience.

It was her fault for not introducing a serious bill.

I can't believe she ever really thought that anything containing the concept of "rebuilding every building the US" would ever rate serious consideration. Nobody is that dumb.
She intended it as political theater, and simply got beat at it.

first time it's become political? You're not thinking here, FB. The left is already using the GND to gather support for their 2020 campaigns. Of course it's political. You didn't complain when the left did it but now you say it like it's a bad thing.
I'm shocked, right?

I understand both are political moves. Putting the GND up for a vote is a really good move for the turtle. Puts them on record on something that, with the exception of the fringe left, is laughable at best.
But what I'm having trouble understanding the political aspect of is the block on the Mueller report.

Republicans are so much better at politics than democrats.
I’ve always said the Democrats should do this with a lot of the terrible GOP talking points.

this man has to go, blocking Merrick Garland's appointment was shrewd also, but did a lot to divide this country further. I do not think the Kavanaugh appointment would have been as contentious had Senator McConnell done is job and called a vote on Garlands appointment. But time after time this man completely disregards the will of the people for petty partisan gain.

of course not, but when you look up obstructionism, it should have a picture of McConnell.
