For me, it was Homer Jordan’s long run for a first down from deep in Clemson territory in the 4th quarter with the game still in doubt in the 1981 National Championship game. Clemson who?
Whatcha got?

and 8 from the 30 yard line.
Musberger: "Now the OPTION. Allen steps away, Allen creates it, Allen for the corner"
18 yard run, first down, rest is history.

And right before that Musberger says, I'm surprised by that

call by Coach Ford and the offensive staff that they would come again with the short man. And Pat Haden chimes in, Because if they don't convert here it's still a very long field goal for Treadwell.

CJ Spiller jukes the whole GT team down the sideline for the score.
Maybe not the greatest in history but probably my personal favorite.

I remember that play. I was fortunate enough to be the on the 35 yard line about 20 rows up. Best seats I have ever had. It was a great time.
And the best part is I was able to fly down stay on S Beach at the Hilton. I spent less than $200. Those were the best times.
Thanks for a great memory.

So many great things about that game. Unranked to start the season, invincible opponent on offense lead by Dan Remington, greatest college center of all time. Nobody gave us a chance although we were ranked #1 and Nebraska was 4(?).

TE run in the Fiesta Bowl against Buckeyes. He looked bottled up and found a way to get to the EZ.

I was really thinking about the single running play that had the greatest impact, but if my category was "the greatest run that rub's Coot noses in the mess they call a football team" this would be tops.
