Recruiting by the numbers for chicken little

Jun 25, 2018, 10:24 PM

~10 schools have signed over 15 4* in a single class since 2013

~10 schools have signed over 4 5* in a single class since 2013

3 schools (USC 15, Bama 17 & UGA 18) have done both in a single year

Clemson 19' with a few recruits rising in the rankings, still has room to do both.

No recruiting class of 28+ recruits has ever had less than 10 3*

Blue chip prospects are waiting longer than ever to commit and the staff learned last season that it is hard to come back and get prospects after slow playing them early. We are getting the underrated players we want early in this class. We will close strong and continue to surprise everyone.

Did you post this before or after Dobbs committed to mich st. Just kidding. Kinda sucks though. Thought we may have a good shot at him.

According to TI they haven't followed Dobbs recruitment in over a year. We had no shot.

Hard to get people to realize that last year' so BCR just isn't sustainable for a class this size. So let the staff get the guys they've evaluated and want that they feel are undervalued on board early and keep chasing after the big fish. Some of the guys we have on board (Ruke, Johnson, Williams, Constantin, Lay) have very high ceilings and with some development can be great players.

Stars absolutely matter and we will get our share of blue chips, they just wait longer in the cycle because they have that luxury. Some of those dominoes are going to start falling out way soon.
