On this joyous night, I wanted to share another

Nov 1, 2016, 11:16 PM

Special thing with my Clemson family. My 5 yr old daughter is autistic, and had her first kindergarten performance tonight at a PTA meeting. During all of her class performances during preschool (last 3 years) she would always get shy, nervous, begin to stem a lot and not really perform with her classmates. But tonight, she stood proud and tall and sang, did the motions, and all. It may seem like a small thing to many others, but it literally brought tears to a proud dad's face. Through years of therapy and all of the Angels we have been blesssed with to work with her, we had our first night of our daughter looking just like one of the many kids. I realize this is not really Clemson related, but I wanted to share with my extended family. God is good and I am so blessed! GO TIGERS!!!!

That's awesome, thanks for sharing, it's amazing how God can speak to us through our children. My daughter is disabled so I can relate because when you fight day after day and see that flame light up it's so special you know it was God working through you and her. God is Awesome!

Go Tigers!

That's wonderful! My 10 yr old son is also autistic so I too can relate. The simple things get me very excited when he performs at a higher than expected level at anything. I've learned not to take anything for granted. Glory to Jesus for giving us such great gifts and rejoicing over what most people think are "little" things!! Take care my friend!!

I have a 17 year old autistic grandson that lives with me. He didn't speak until he was 4. Now he's a high school senior and has a real pretty girl friend who is a 4.0 student.
