This story is a reminder of why Dabo is a great recruiter and motivator. There are parts of his life that almost everyone can identify with. Highs, lows, struggles, overcoming adversity. Dabo is one of the few people, let alone coaches, who can tell personal stories that can resonate with kids from seemingly picture perfect lives in the suburbs to children from broken homes. This is easy to say, but I would have a hard time not appreciating Dabo if he were the coach of the Gamecocks. Even with the occasional crack, most of my rational Gamecock buddies respect where Dabo has come from to where he is now and how how conducts his life.
Those brothers from Georgia who make the "Facing the Giants and Fireproof" could not write a movie with a better narrative than Dabo's life.
