There's something in these hills.

The few I spoke to were all very nice folks...

and very complimentary of Clemson, the team, the stadium, the environment, and the campus.

Several of their fans bought Clemson shirts in the 4th quarter and said they were Clemson fans now! It was impressive to see how contagious being a real Tiger is!! ??

The three next to me were cool and even admitted some of the calls were going their way. One admitted prior to the game that he thought we were overrated, but said that he was obviously wrong.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Hahaha! We were "overrated" last year, and they see how that turned out! :)

They were great. I was half surrounded by them. They pretty much kept between themselves. One gentleman offered to take our family photo prior to the game. It looked like one Clemson student was giving one of them the business as they were piling out with 3 minutes to go, but I don't know if there was any jawing between them prior to that.

Saw a few downtown G'ville Friday night and they were also cordial with just the typical "War Eagles."

In the bathroom post-game, there were lots of "F-Bama's" and laughs going on between both sides :)

I mean I would think the majority of their fans would be extra nice after what we did to Bama in the National Title game.

Nice except for the "Auburn does no wrong" yapper that

sat behind me at the game. 20 years ago it might have been an ugly scene. With major effort, ignored him and he ran our of excuses by halftime.

Tailgated with a handful of Auburn fans. Really good experience. Talked trash before the game but owned up afterwards.

Glad to hear both fan bases were cordial. As a student we went to several away games and were treated very well by the other fans. Only exception (other than uscjr ) was at MD, and that was awful.

Great! Classy bunch for the most part.

Sep 12, 2017, 3:36 PM

Passionate about their team without being obnoxious.

They are much nicer than Bama fans.

Extremely nice as always. Probably the nicest fans in the nation outside of us of course***

Met quite a few great Auburn fans while tailgating and on walk to the stadium. Had no trouble in the game save for one extremely drunk Auburn fan appearing to be by himself who threatened people from 15 minutes before the game until the middle of the first quarter. He earned himself a police escort out of the stadium and then all was well again. I was quite surprised he didn't get knocked out considering he was also yelling at women and children. Most fans that come to DV are nice due to how we treat them. We don't usually give them much reason other than the beating their team takes on the field to be too mad at us.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Very nice & looks of embarrassment on next to last play.

Sep 12, 2017, 6:42 PM

They knew it was a bush league play and were having a Southwest Airlines "want to get away" moment afterwards.
