I prefer older Brownings that were Belgian made.

I get to go duck hunting. Pops' '70s Belgian Browning 12. He just had it rebuilt last year. Firing pin was broken, so it was a mystery why it was even firing half the time and ejecting half the time.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my Winchester SXP pump. Very fast action. Can't go wrong with any of them, but I really do like the Benelli semi autos.

Always the first thing I look at anytime I start looking at shotguns. Picked up the Winchester because I shot one at sporting clays gathering and fell in love with it.

I have a Mossberg bolt Patriot .30-06, a Mossberg lever .30-30, and a Mossberg MVP bolt .223. Indestructible, American-made, and always at a more than reasonable price point.

why are you looking for a long barrel instead of something with higher capacity that is more maneuverable inside when you're looting? Assault shotguns are made for assaulting.

HK sources shotguns from Franchi, so you're better off to buy direct and save the HK markup. I will stand with you on their battle rifles though, exceptional weapons that stand up to a wide range of conditions without failure.

Benelli Super Black Eagle - I have dropped mine in the swamp dozens of times. So easy to clean in the field and as sure of a shooting gun that you can buy.

I only shoot high brass though in that gun.
My buds have SBE's as well and some shoot low brass Kent shells which are ok, but expect a jam every once in a while. But I think that is typical of any shotgun in reality.
ALSO, before I forget, for a long time I hunted with a Benelli 3.5 Nova. I sold it and that was the worst mistake EVER. Luckily they are cheap and I can snag another one, but that is one #### good shooting pump action gun.
