My Covid update.

Jul 10, 2020, 10:11 AM

I tested positive for the test I took June 30th.
I was retested on Tuesday. Got the results a 15 minutes ago. This time came back negative. Anyway, my experience was a fever for a few days, skin kind of hurt, upset stomach for a day, and just generally semi uncomfortable. I guess I am a lucky one. It wasn't bad for me. I realize it is terrible for some. I wonder why some people have such awful symptoms and some of us have such mild symptoms or no symptoms at all.

On a different note, 1 in 5 people that are tested in Florida come back positive. I am a Florida resident of course.

Glad you are doing ok.

My daughter's future in-laws live in AZ.

The dad, guessing around 60 started showing symptoms about 2 weeks ago. The mom's (10 years younger) symptoms started about 4 hours later.

The mom was fine within 24 hours.

The dad has struggled for 2 weeks. Bad headaches, fever and a terrible cough if he tries to talk. Nights have been really bad

On day 8 he finally got his appetite back. Slowly starting to feel better, but no there yet.

The only symptom that was extreme for me was the sweating. I have never sweat that much even in a game of pickup basketball. Watching tv drenched. Its not painful. It was just odd and uncomfortable. I had to change my sheets every days for 4 days.

GI issues but are mostly fine. She and her husband have had the extent of symptoms, but she is on day 13 and can barely get out of bed. extreme fatigue, body aches, nausea...no fever though (which is enlightening - are temp checks pointless?

Anyway, I am glad you were not as bad off. I have the misfortune of reading my friends daily updates and it sounds awful for her. and I'm guessing she's going to be battling this for a long time.

She's 39. Ironically, her husband is the immuno-compromised one in the house.
