so historically bad, coaches now can go to work there knowing that if they fail, it won't be a big deal on their resume since the yardbirds have never had any kind of sustained success in football?

I think as a coaching job it has to be good as far as making $$. A man can go there, make 3 mill a year, not be expected to win championships. If he wins less than 50% of his games and they fire him he won't be blamed for ruining their program cause it was never good. They just move on to the next guy. 3 million a year. That's good $.

back Coots word is they are breaking the bank to get any coaches .,
If you are after money they are spending like they hit the lottery .,Probably a 8 - 9 million
payroll ., You know they will pay Lattimore at least a million .,
