Good idea to approach women in the gym?

There’s this lady in the gym. She’s there everyday, same time, by herself in the evening... seems unlikely a guy’s in the picture. Oh yeah, and she’s beautiful. Doesn’t wear headphones so seems approachable. Always on the same piece of cardio equipment.
I’ve always heard approaching women in the gym is a bad idea but you know what they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Opinions? Thoughts? Experiences? Tips?
