Very regrettable his injuries didn't allow him to compete as he had hoped. Undoubtedly an outstanding young man. Glad to know he'll have a CU degree. Hopefully he'll get to play two solid years of football where ever he ends up and realizes at least some of his goals in the sport.

hope he does well. whoever gets him will be lucky. This is the downside to playing quarterback. No other position in football except maybe kicker is the backup delegated to watching and almost never sees the field. In our history as well as other major programs have had many fine players never see the field. Can think of several while I was football manager from 62-65.

Best of luck.........

I'm very happy to see that you will earn your degree from Clemson. Although it didn't work out for you on the field, you are and will forever be a Clemson man! Congratulations!

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

QB depth is scary if Parker bolts to MLB. Boyd & Wade only?

Dec 10, 2009, 1:48 PM

If Parker bolts to MLB, then Boyd and Wade will battle it out for the starting job next year, with Boyd being the likely starter, and Wade being the backup, unless he really insists on playing a different position. It was very reassuring to have Korn & Wade as backups. Of course, if Parker doesn't bolt, we should be fine-- unless Parker wins the starting job and Boyd decides to transfer rather than sit. It seems like it would be hard to recruit another top-tier QB with Boyd having 4 years of eligibility.
