God's Country

Aug 6, 2012, 1:04 PM

Clemson fans refer to Clemson as "God's country" (no argument from me - it is indeed God's country). Does anyone know if other schools also refer to thier school in a similar way?

I have noticed that many alums from other schools don't really have an attachment to their school. I have a hard time understanding that. So just how unique do you think the bond that Clemson fans/alums have with Clemson vs other people to their school?

Biblically speaking, wouldn't god's country be Jerusalem?

I just find it ironic that god's country is essentially a rocky, arid wasteland.

I wouldn't think go would choose to level his own country via tornado.

About as unique as any other school...I believe there are other schools in the country with a larger alumni association than Clemson's...So based on that, I would say that Clemson may be in the top 25, I don't know. Most pubs I've read only list the top 10.

I heard someone at work refer to the state of Washington as "God's country". I have no clue why anyone would ever think that about that state.

I knew a PSU grad, and she always talked about how beautiful the campus was. A long time ago, so I guess it's hard to connect 'beauty' and 'PSU' these days.
