I'm guessing there have been times where we haven't, but I can't recall when. Maybe some others know.

My kids were like one of the last that were able to go to games and slide down the hill (west EZ) while pops watched the game

Running down The Hill will be a good field test of the cleats before the game starts. I expect the players will let Dabo test the waters first, so to say, and if he makes it down safely they're All-In behind him. If he goes into the belly-flop position half way down, they'll probably start their belly-flops at the top. Just think how many recruits THAT would win over.

Yep, I heard they were going to sew together enough Clemson carpets to cover the whole field, but I didn't believe it. I'm talking your cleat testing comment as the confirmation I was looking for.

The carpet makes running the hill do-able. But I wouldn't want to have tickets on the hill.

Back in the 80s I remember a game when they didn't unroll the carpet till just before they ran down the hill.
