I rewatched the 2019 Palmetto Bowl today and wow

Apr 28, 2020, 1:22 PM

It felt like I was watching a scrimmage or a Clemson vs FCS opponent game. I’m not complaining, but our rivalry has become extremely dull because our inferior sisters to the south are just garbage. Dumb coots. GO TIGERS!

Yup...this whole cycling-out thing has been pretty fun...

for Clemson fans.

Toad Ellis is an absolute imbecile but that may be his all time most moronic statement ever.

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

The only thing Cusschamp is building at uof6c...

It just fits though. Just when they think it can’t get any worse, they totally redeem themselves.

I watched the 2016 version this AM. Really gonna miss Jake. And, think the coots missed out on McIlween. He could probably have been a serviceable QB if they hadn't broken his spirit early on.

win the starting QB job at Utah.

He's competing with two others (Cam Rising and Drew Lisk) for the starting quarterback job and the disruption won't help his situation.

Cam Rising, the Texas transfer, has been in the Utah system for over a year now and should know the offense pretty well. The downside for him is, since he redshirted his first year at Texas and sat out all of last year due to NCAA transfer rules, has yet to play a meaningful snap of football in two seasons.

Lisk, a senior and a former walk-on, and has only seen very limited PT as a backup at Utah.

If he does manage to win the starting job, don't be surprised if he plays a little better than he did at Coot U largely because he'll have more talent around him and better coaching.

Utah offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig is a master teacher and communicator.

Give Jake another year or two and he'll be terrific.

Yaknow, he's only 24 years old.

My favorite play for McElwain at UofSuc was his TD in their Spring Game. There was a holding call to negate the TD and Muschamp overruled the refs and made them pick up the flag so his QB could say they scored a TD. Talk about desperation. Muschamp showed how pathetic he was on that single play that really meant nothing.

We need to enjoy while we can and hope it stays this way a long, long time. That 5 year stretch of losing to them was miserable.

"I love this place, I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die - up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays; then I won't have to go Heaven; I'll already be there."- Frank Howard

Agree. That was the most boring Clemson-Chicken game I have ever watched. Everyone in the stadium knew how it would end before our guys entered the stadium.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... Most boring in more ways

Apr 28, 2020, 10:39 PM

than one. No trash talk before the game from either side. No pregame excitement or worry whatsoever. Nothing. Just nothing.
