It's interesting to observe the (over)reaction of so many fans to the departure of yet another quarterback. While his handling of the situation is frustrating to me, we all need to get used to it. When the coaches recruit "elite athletes," many will refuse to settle for a second string position. They are highly rated because they are quite talented. Given their talent level, they aspire to play at the next level. They won't get there from the bench. So many will eventually transfer out. We should wish them well. They came to Clemson hoping they could win the starting job. When that doesn't happen, they move on. Personally, I'd rather have this problem than be fielding teams with 2 and 3 star athletes who are just happy to be here, as is the case with our "in-state rival." Yet given the proficiency of Dabo's staff in recruiting, we may as well get used to it. TL is a great quarterback. CB is a very good quarterback. The likelihood of both going down to an injury is very slim. So let's take a deep breath and let the season play out. There's no question in my mind we win the ACC and make the playoffs yet again with TL and CB. If TL stays healthy and gains the experience needed, he may well lead us to another National Championship. If that happens, I suspect KB will regret his decision. But it's his decision to make. And an often painful part of the "growing up experience" is living with the consequences of the choices we made. Go Tigers!
