Just got back from the Charleston Prowl and Growl

Got to talk to Dabo for awhile before it started, ate some pretty great Sticky Fingers food, and had an overall great time listening to Dabo and Brownell answer questions and stuff. It was awesome.
And you heard it here first, someone asked Dabo if he'd beat the Gamecocks this year and he said yes, so I guess it's official, we're finally gonna win this year.

I went to Gville one last week. Good time and worth it for sure.
Q&A was good. Dabo is a amazing public speaker.

Was the one interviewing DRad and taking the microphone around. He's good at holding a microphone at least.

The D-Rad/Munson Q&A was sooooo canned. Munson is a real "Dandy."

Their in-restaurant food is good, but what I've experienced of their catering is...not so good. I'm very nervous about the fact that they took over food services on the Yorktown. My cub scout pack stays there every year and I can't say I'm looking forward to Sticky Fingers meals during our visit.

When I was in Scouts...BSA troop 222, Newberry, SC
Our troop master "Uncle George Summer" was a great man & an icon in this state & more...RIP Uncle G.!!!
More parents should get involved in Scouting. It's great for helping kids develop & learn the right ways in life! (As long as their scoutmaster isn't a GD #### child-molester...smh)
Way to go man! Y'all have fun! But I'd recommend y'all cook for yourselves! Then you can earn them a merit badge too

Awesome! Not sure if our troops were there the same week, but that's where we were every summer & winter as well! We usually won lots of events as well, but mostly had a great time playing in the creeks & on the mountains
I "Eagled" a 15 yrs old (Stipulations for getting my DL)
Do a good turn daily!!! I still try to live by the 12 pnts

mostly due to finances (grew up very poor). It has always been my dream to go. I hope when my boys are old enough they'll want to go, and I can accompany as one of the troop leaders/chaperones. I have a couple of pounds to lose before they'll let me go on a High Adventure trip though.

BSA Troop 408, Florence SC. Eagle Scout 1991. I was a boy scout through and through growing up. I stepped away after I started at Clemson, but when my oldest son went into 1st grade I jumped back in with a vengeance. I have been a den leader, Cubmaster, and Assistant Cubmaster since. I absolutely love it...scouting is my calling. I think all families with boys should participate in scouts.
As far as cooking for ourselves, well, these are Cub Scouts. Though we do let our older boys do some of their own cooking on our campouts.

my summary from charleston p&g:

|

good crowd..nice evening.
highlights: dabo said "don't count out" tyshon dye..said dye "woulda been a starter last year had he not been injured"..good things to say about gallman, davidson, dj, and said zac brooks was "the most dynamic" player on offense..said it was time for isaih battle to decide to be great..said their recruiting success on both lines has some thinking "the great wall of clemson"..responding to a question about tony steward, he said steward treated his first spring practice very seriously and would start at will..had praise also for boulware, and bj goodson..he refused to say anything specific about the atheistic complaints other than, "we do things the right way, and will continue to do so"..
he and brownell had a hilarious dialogue after dabo had a question about the incoming senior qb transfer and brownell's first question was the post-kj question, "can you win without him?"..brownell said, "you know you're at a football school when the football coach gets a question about his fourth string qb, and I get asked if we can make the tournament."..dabo had some wisecrack response and brownell then asked dabo how hard it was to go into a kid's home and tell him and his parents that you are recruiting him as the 4th string qb..dabo fired back something else funny..it was terrific comedy..very proud of both of those coaches.
brownell didn't have as much newsworthy stuff, but he is high on ajukwa..said ajukwa was working hard, adding strength and weight..said ajukwa had also grown an inch and was now 6'6"..i thought he implied that ajukwa could be an option at the three, which is an interesting thought..said nnoko is rehabbing after his meniscus tear surgery and will be 100% this summer..nnoko is our next nba player, imo..gave a pretty gruesome description of rooks' hip injury..he apparently had some bone death in his hip - my wife just had her right hip replaced from whatever necrosis that is - and "had the hips of a 70-year old"..but he said rooks is full-strength now..he made an interesting point when some guy complimented our improved ft shooting..brownell replied that, while they did spend extra time shooting ft's, ft percentage depende on who got fouled..two years ago, devin booker - a 63% ft shooter - was our most frequent ft shooter..last year, kj - an 80% ft shooter - was most frequently fouled.
great night to be a tiger!
