It's going to be a great game...UGA has some serious talent as do we. They have lost alot on defense so hopefully we'll have an edge but if we can't get to Murray it will likely be a long night.

Any team concentrating on their 1st game at this point in the season are not focused on the right things. They will not start preparing for Clemson until about two weeks prior. Fundementals, conditioning, assignments, plays ...

I dont see all the offense everyone else does. yes we both have high scoring offenses..but nerves and early season bad route running/pass blocking screwups, and just bad decosions make me think this is a 27-23 game. Clemson has homefield and more at stake with a loss..Tigers by 4 in a late 4th quarter score to win sort of ending.

route running or throwing the ball accurately. Jeez.
The big issues will be protecting Tajh and getting to Murray. Do a solid job of both and we could have a whole lot of fun on 8/31.

Really?? You gonna throw in powerhouse 3-8 Auburn you had to sneak by. No way it will be a blowout by either team, history has proven that plus add being first game of the season, it will be decided late by less than 3 points.

It's not my fault everyone is blinded by the SEC bias. Clemson will be sure to put an end to that come this season.

Can you not SEE the ridiculousness of having UGA in the top

10? Who did they play? Buffalo, Mizz, Florida Atl, Vanderbilt, Tenn, USuC, Kentucky, UF, Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia Southerm, GT...WHERE are the 'powerhouse' teams UGA beat? Looks a #### of a lot like an 'ACC schedule' to me. Of all the teams they played, the only ones that even come close to a tough game is USuC and UF. UGA almost lost to a down Tenn team and got the floor wiped with USuC.

I don't know Auburn was pretty #### good the two years prior (2010 and 2011) and Clemson either won or gave them an all out battle, it wasn't the opening game in those seasons, but still.

I too think it will be a close game though the score could get high (I will not pre-claim a victory or a loss) ... Too much experience for nerves to be a big factor on O. My big disagreement with you is if it is to be decided late, the Dawgs will have the advantage. The earlier the game is decided favors Clemson.

Not here to bash you at all, but why do you think a late decision favors Dawgs and early decision favors Tigers?

843tiger91 - I think that Clemson will jump ahead early for two reasons: 1) We will start out slow on O ... Night game @ Clemson. 2) Boyd will put the ball in the end zone. Then it becomes a game of make up. If Georgia is going to win, then it will happen late in the game. If they don't fight back then Clemson won it early.

I guess I can see that being a good possibility. It wouldn't surprise me if our D slowed down 2nd half, as it has a few times before

Looking too far ahead question. We take care of business,
Apr 3, 2013, 8:08 AM

what helps our season more the next week, a Dawg or Coot win?
Thanks for reminding about another reason to dislike the leg humpers. It's the duty of every D-1 team of note to beat Boise State. BS only plays one or two marquee teams a year, eats cupcakes the rest of the season, then beats on their chest that they should be in the National Championship mix. Last season Michigan State saved us all from that by beating BS. When the Dawgs lost we had to hear that all year from BS.

I think beating UGAy then the leghumpers beating the coots is the best scenario for us. The Dawgs have a better chance of getting to the $ECheatCG IMO. If we beat 'em and then they go on to a solid season, it helps our SOS and national perception.
