Prediction: Kirby Smart won't reach the heights UGA imagines

[4]
Posted: Feb 19, 2019 9:25 AM

He has tried so far to out Bama Bama. It doesn't work. Not only that, but Clemson has shown people how to beat Bama.

The SEC model that has somewhat worked for the past decade or so is badly in need of revision. Kirby Smart trying to be Bama II won't get it done. The next successful coach in the SEC will be one who comes in and shakes it up with a new way of doing things, like Spurrier did at Florida, like Saban did at Bama. But imitating Saban won't get it done at this point in the evolution of college football.

So the plan is...

to expand a stadium that was designed to seat 85,000 to 105,000?

Congratulations...you've now become the Tennessee Volunteers.

Kirby is going to take these highly ranked classes and underperform to a level Mark Richt could only dream of .

Great, more Georgia rednecks can fill the stadium in Athens.

Meanwhile those National Championship Quarterbacks from Georgia keep following the Tiger Paws to Clemson.
- Homer Jordan, Athens, GA - QB of Clemson's 1981 National Championship team
- Deshaun Watson, Gainesville, GA - QB of Clemson's 2016 National Championship team
- Trevor Lawrence, Cartersville, GA - QB of Clemson's 2018 National Championship team (and just a freshman!)

Thanks Georgia! Keep 'em coming.

That’s a waste of resources. Shoulda installed a “Bullrink”. I’d pay good cash money to see Bevo maul, trample and otherwise eviscerate UGA on a regular basis.

Shows you how that SEC Education works

All studies show that attendance at sporting events are trending down over the next decade as more people choose to watch from comfort of home.

This is not a link to stadium expansion. You’ve provided a link to a recently completed project to upgrade facilities and experience.

This has nothing to do with the OP’s post.

And with that.. I’ve already wasted 30-seconds more than I should have here.

Directors are concerned, that with social media and future expense, college football attendance is projected to slowly decline. Stadium expansions will be a rarety in the future. It’s just not economically sound.

this would involve an additional 5,000+/- parking spaces.
