Aug 5, 2016, 11:45 AM

Anyone here planning on going to the GT game and using the MARTA? If so any advice?

If they're not wearing orange, then don't make eye contact.

you can use either the Doraville or Chamblee MARTA stations although GT's attendance is such that driving and parking near campus isn't a real problem.

KEEP IN MIND IT'S A THURSDAY EVENING GAME

As an Atlantan, I generally agree with BigCUFan. Coming from I-85, the Chamblee Station might be the most accessible. Since the game is during the week this year, traffic will be very different than on Saturdays. If you do not arrive in Midtown/Georgia Tech area before 4 PM it is likely going to be very slow between the GA 400/I-85 merge and Tech. Also, MARTA runs more frequent service during the week than on weekends. Depending on what time the game ends, it may not be as frequent after the game, but you'll have many trains running in the afternoon compared to Saturday service.

Don't use it. Service after the game sucks. Park in on campus lot. GaTech is easy to get in and out of. After game 2 years ago took my son and I almost two hours to get back to Doraville lot where our car was.
