A lot of bragging here in Atlanta this week from Georgia fans how they "won" the recruiting title for the 2020 class.
I pointed out the following:
- in recent years Georgia has been #1 in recruiting several times with only one trip to the CFP and no NCs.
- we have never been #1 in recruiting but we have been to the CFPs for 5 years in a row winning two NCs.
Also, as another note, our new players come in and get to work and go to school whereas several of their recruits either never make it into school or get to school and then are arrested or thrown off the team for whatever reason.
That shut up the people I was talking with pretty quickly.

Outside of your points about UGA's recruiting classes and Clemson's recruiting classes, nothing else in your post is true. No UGA fan was bragging about winning a recruiting title. Sure, UGA fans are happy with the ranking but talk of "recruiting championships" only exists here. You neither pointed anything out nor did you shut anyone up. You're making it all up. Everyone here knows it. I'll say it.

The QB situation at UGA has nothing to do with this. You know that. But since you brought it up, Fields has proven to clearly the better QB. (I'll also save you the time and concede Clemson has 3 national titles since UGA's last - 40 yers ago.) As for the OP, you can be no more certain I'm wrong about the "conversation" than you can certain it's truthful. You can choose to go along with it. That's why he posted it, after all. He was a sure of all the "good for you for telling off those Georgia (insert insult)" responses as I was of the arrows I'd catch from my response to him. You want to believe it happened - have at it.

The news has been talking about it all week. The UGA fans I work with have been talking about it all week.
It's like the gamecocks and their win over UGA, it's really not that big of an accomplishment, but means a lot to them.

You must have fleas. Did you click on the 3 images of UGAs campus after a game? Clemson looks nothing like that after a game. Your fan base is trash, your coach is trash with a trash mouth, your players get dismissed or arrested at an alarming rate, and you smell like a wet dawg. I hope I get to watch Clemson play UGA very soon. Seeing as you can barely win the east, I doubt I will

It always does, with the exception of the ones that are just stupid to hear or listen. The best way to deal with them is with a smirk and walk away shaking your head then laugh out loud. They will understand that meaning if nothing else!!!

The players we sign are academically eligible when they set foot on campus. We don't sign and place a player in a junior college. Neither Dabo or other staff members recruit Junior College players, we develop our players in house. Not all of the players Dabo signs are angels but seldom do we see a player kicked off the team for some wrongdoing off campus.

There's a big differnce in waiting, observing, getting to know the high school kids family and character before making an offer.
Clemson offers on average, just over 100 kids while UGA offers around 250 every year.
The way UGA does it, it's harder to separate the wheat from the chafe until it's too late.
Another analogy is UGA recruits like taking a hand full of chit and throwing it against the wall to see what sticks and somtimes it slides to floor after the fact.

I’ve lived in Atlanta for nearly 25 years and got my MBA in Athens, so I have a little experience dealing with their ilk. Next time, try simply congratulating them on their recruiting national championship, and ask if they plan to put the trophy next to their other recruiting national championship trophies and their pre-season national championship trophies. Most of their fans are too stupid to realize that you’ve insulted their program, and you get the satisfaction of putting them in their place.

Reranking the players based on how high school evaluators think they’ll perform in the NFL is what created the change in point values. Kirby and UGA didn’t out recruit us in any way. It’s an f’n farce.

In all seriousness,it’s great that UGA keeps getting these highly ranked kids who are no doubt top notch talent.They could sign at Alabama or wherever that could actually do something with them.Congrats on the number one class and keep up the good work.
