We need to jump ship while we still have some leverage...the only question is where to go. I vote for the SEC, but they may not deem us worthy, so perhaps the Big East would give us shelter. Thoughts?

If you think that the Big East would, in any way, be a step up or isn't even less stable than the ACC, then you are ignorant.

remains,,,if not the SEC, where? I don't think we want to be an independent, though we do have a history and tradition like Notre Dame so maybe it could work??? I'm just not sure what the options are...we're in uncharted territory, for sure.

If FSU and clemson asked the SEC to consider BOTH schools for membership I think that would be our best chance. I dont think that is going to happen though.We are a football school. stuck in a basketball conference that has a tarhole man crush and it seems even the basketball teams are not as good as they used to be.If the conferences go to 16 teams i am sure we will be included....but with our current leaders it will be the one of the weaker conferences

Actually, if you think about it, Maryland has been bringing nothing to the ACC for 15-20 years now. Name one sport (besides Lacrosse) that MD is good at? When people think of the ACC, does anyone ever talk about MD?
IF the ACC adds a good replacement, it will be status quo.
