recruits. Think about it, and tell me what you would do:

Return for another year as a starter on one of the best football teams in the nation. Free tuition, and, because you have graduated, a pretty nice life, Clemson Ladies! Etc.

Forgo your last year. Join the armed services (because you want to serve) hoping to become a Navy SEAL (which is not automatic, or assured), and make less than minimum wage.

It’s obvious what my decision would be. I served in the armed services, and am glad I did, but I have to admit, Uncle Sam “urged” me to.
