Gamecock basketball has 6 commitments for the 2016 class?

Posted: May 2, 2016 2:16 PM

One is a transfer that will have to sit out a year. 3 guys 6-9 or taller? It doesn't seem to matter how many guys they lose, they sign what they need.

How does he do it? Is Perry Clark just that good of a recruiter?

Foreign players, JUCO's, and the Head Coach has a history.

Don't really care about them but,

are we just going to take the one guy this year?

That seems to be the case. Nothing on the internet about

recruits that we are pursuing for this class. Plus we lost our lead recruiter. We seem to be saving them for possible transfers which would mean they would have to sit out a year. May is usually when those happen.

Unfortunately, we only have 9 scholarship players(assuming Blossomgame returns which seems likely unless someone withdraws from the combine) for the first half of the season with only two low post players. Tough to get a good look in practice with so few big men and none who have scored more than 5 points per game. Foul trouble will put us in a bind.

We'll be in the new facilities this year, so that should be a huge help in recruiting for the 2016 class. Maybe we'll have a couple of pleasant surprises and pick up two more guys who can play and contribute and develop this coming season.

Thanks. Maybe we'll hit on a transfer from somewhere***

we have sidy, legend and elijah thomas upfront. thomas won't miss "half the season".. only about 5 games. he is eligible when CU exams end next Dec. It not ideal, but we can get by until then.

That's a 9 year old story about high school basketball.

Not sure how those alleged infractions would lend themselves to the college game.

Do you think he is cheating to get these players?

low standards: entrance (grades), character, expectations

nothing changes in the translation of the SEC from football to basketball,

except they don't have the history and so they look even more whorish in BBall.

there is a reason that USuCk left the ACC back in the 1970's,

and it was called "having a standardized test score of 800 or more".

Nothing has changed, and they still suck....

If all conferences had the academic standards of the ACC,

Clemson would have a better basketball history and record.

This more than anything is that makes the VCU's, the George Masons,

the Wichita State's, et al as competitive as they are.

That having been said, I like our program just the way it's going...

which is "up".

If you want to pull for the Coots, please... be my guest.
