Duke and Ole Miss

Sep 14, 2014, 6:29 PM

Duke finished with a 10-4 record last season. They started out 9-2 and then went 1-3 in their last three games. Those last three games included a win over a UNC team on a hot streak (5-1 over their last 6 with their lone loss being to Duke), a loss to the best team in the country in the ACC Championship Game, and a close loss to Texas A&M in the Peach Bowl. This year Duke returned a good amount of their talent and has started the season 3-0 against easy opponents, who they have handily defeated by a combined score of 127-33.

Ole Miss finished with a 8-5 record last season. They started out 7-3 and then went 1-3 in their last three games. Those last three games included a close win over a bad Georgia Tech team in the Music City Bowl, a loss to a good Missouri team, and a loss to a bad Mississippi State team. This year Ole Miss returned a good amount of their talent and has started the season 3-0 against easy opponents, who they have handily defeated by a combined score of 134-31.

Duke is unranked in the polls, but they have Ole Miss as the tenth best team in the country. Any idea why that is?

If we played Ole Miss--the Tigers would kick their head

in. It would be an ugly loss for a "top 10" team.

Yes....but its the same reason everyone in America is aware of.....the lame circle jerk with the most penalized conference in the history of the NCAA

History, bias, Duke lost their OC and no true acknowledgement that

Sep 14, 2014, 6:38 PM

Cuttie is not only an outstanding coach but the one that makes the Duke O go.

They hate he told the SEC to #### off.

Also, it is quiet odd that this is in regards to Ole Miss, the school that fired Cuttie.

Well not only ole mess, but look at the bias at the top...Bama loses to Oklahoma, loses to Auburn before that. Loses starting QB. Comes out this year and is in a dog fight to get by unranked WVU (who just eeked out a w against Maryland). Oklahoma has given no reason to believe they're not better than Bama.

But Bama is ranked ahead of Oklahoma...while breaking in a new QB? I love to hear sec fans try to explain that one.

Duke WILL Crack the Top 25 shortly

Sep 14, 2014, 7:42 PM

Just gaining credibility ... in other news, we BETTER beat FSU else we will be hanging out with James Madison University

The sec beats each other up and their combined ranks move up. Unranked ACC teams have been in dog fights with top 10's the past 3 weeks and won 2 of 3. Unranked.

UVA lost by one score at home to top 10 ucla. Did not give up a td on defense. Just knocked off Louisville.

Va tech took down top 10 Ohio state at their place.

BC took care of top 10 USC (the real one) Saturday night.

All three are unranked, while ole miss is top 10, Texas a & m has jumped almost 20 spots. And Bama still is ranked above Oklahoma?

Are they trying to make the SEC bias obvious are do they just not care?
