With loans being so low at the time, it's smart to use bank money to purchase something worth as much as a house. Say the house is 400k, that's a lot of money gone, that you can not make any money on. Basically by investing that money smartly he will make a lot more over time. I know a handful of super wealthy people and they all finance everything of value with rates so low it's like free money. In a hurry so I hope this makes sense.
Also, very impressed with Travis!! I know it hurts not making it to the NFL, but not everyone can make it there. By picking a school like Clemson, you are prepared to succeed in many different areas of life!

Travis is one of the greatest men I have ever met. He occasionally shows up and teaches lessons for the youth group at my church and he does an amazing job

Andy Griffith episode where Barney becomes a realtor and talks everybody into buying each other's houses... Btw, Blanks is coaching Walhalla's DB's in the fall. He seems to be fitting right in with the community. Oconee Federal has his pic on billboards all over the area. It seems all the coaches are buying and/or building fine new homes. Maybe they'll stick around!

Anyone know if the situation where Travis Blanks couldn't get tickets to a game or couldn't go on the field? Whatever it was from earlier this year....did that get resolved?
Looks like he and Coach Scott are still tight at least.
