G&T is the GOAT summer mixed drink.
Jul 9, 2020, 10:37 AM
|
|
And there is not a close second.
Margaritas would be #2, followed by the daiquiri at #3.
Clear likkers are best in the summer.
But don't sleep on the dark & stormy, especially when made with OG Goslings, at #4.
Overall, ice cold American Light adjunct lagers are the #1 summer alcoholic beverage.
This coming from a man who hardly drinks to speak of. But knows his beverages when he does.

I just learned that I liked gin a couple summers ago. Hated it since stealing my parents' plastic bottle gin in HS and subsequently puking. Tasted like a pine tree. Turns out, when you move up to glass bottles, there's non-pine-tree gin available.

teaspoon of sugar in the bottom of a glass. Add few drops of lime juice. Muddle some mint (8-10 leaves or so) in the sugar/lime juice. Add ice. double shot Bacardi light, top with club soda or sprite zero if you like it sweeter.

Once you have everything set up, it's quick and easy. Picking the mint for 3-4 or so is the hardest thing. I tend to drink mojitos when making iced tea. That way I can pick a fistfull of mint and use most in the tea, and the leftover mint for mojitos.
