Fundamentals

Can we find anyone with that can swing the bat? I mean come on this is pitiful. And once again our defense is horrible. I don't care how cold it is 3 errors is inexcusable. It honestly looks like our guys just fail at the simple fundamentals.

The word "fundamentals" has no place when commenting about Clemson baseball players in recent history. Unless you precede it with either "poor" or "non-existent" that is. It pains me to realize how far this program has regressed under JL over the past 5-6 years. This group may set a new all-time low. I know you pumpers will say it's only game 3. You're right, but the signs so far give me little hope that anything has changed for the better.

It might only be game 3 of the season but you're right, it's the same story from the last 5 years. I'm just tired of settling for mediocrity when it's obvious they could be better.

the past couple years ain't it.

I'm to the point where weekends like this don't bother me anymore. I have become used to us dropping series against anyone with a pulse due to poor hitting, poor defense, and no pitching depth.

I'm afraid that most simply don't care anymore. Maybe this season will be different, but there is nothing that has happened this series to give us any hope of anything other that what we've seen the last few years.

I've followed the baseball program religiously since my undergrad days in the 70's. Been a season ticket holder since the mid 90's and have taken many a road trips during most regular seasons. Saw them win the ONLY ACC TITLE in Jack's tenure in Jacksonville. Didn't imagine at the time that it would be the only one ever!!!!!!

His recent teams don't resemble good baseball as I know it. I too have reached the conclusion that he doesn't know how to fix it. The seasons change but the execution remains the same-----BAD!

Time to move on.
