This morning? What a great story!!
De land was high school RB star in PA. He was an adopted child.
Accepted a scholly from Sherman Smith, RB coach for Miami, Ohio.
Demand broke all rushing records at Miami and the conference but was not drafted in NFL.
Got free agent offer from Bengals, was leading NFL in rushing in preseason, but tore his knee up in 4th game.
Never played football again but eventually got into coaching RB’s at colleges and pros, helped by Sherman Smith in the beginning.
When RB coach at SoCal, state of PA passed bill opening birth records of adopted kids.
Found his Mom thru Facebook, met her and asked who his father was.
His father did not know that his Mom had had a baby.
Father is Sherman Smith!!
