I think this may be the car that was used into the 70's by the cheerleaders. It used to stay inside the fence at DV. Never have heard who owned nor its back story including what happened to it ultimately. It was sort of like GT's wreck only in a little rougher condition

Clemson Model A that raced the Georgia Tech "Ramblin' Wreck" Model A on the field at Death Valley in 1974!

running board as we led fans from Gantt Circle to DV.

Mr. G.G. Thomas of Rock Hill (my hometown) donated the car, and his son, Craig, was also on the Cheerleading Squad.

This was about 1967, and in those days after leading the large crowd to DV, we would wait at the top of the hill for the team's arrival from Fike. Then, at least several of us led the team down the hill, while other squad members held the large flag on the field.

I lucked up, getting on the Cheerleading Squad my freshman year, remaining on it for three years. Couldn't participate my senior year due to a student statewide office I held that required a good bit of travel to other campuses.

right in the bottom photo was Mr. Thomas, who had donated the car.

Never knew what happened to it.
