It's going to get messy if any part of the "player compensation" is approved. Unless there was some way it could be done equally across the board and under some sort of sanctioned monitoring. Even then variables will look to disrupt. I can see pros and cons, but from what I can tell the only people pushing this issue are liberals and left wingers.

like you, I see pros and cons. as commentary, I think even the discussion indicates college sports has become too big and too far removed from the concept of a student athlete. it's not an entirely fair point, but does anyone believe that those who established the various colleges envisioned stadiums. some of which are, in excess of 100k seating, coaches being paid as much as they are and on and on....

has sports in many colleges become a monster. if it has, I'm certainly guilty of feeding the beast.
